About This Site

This website is a tribute to the enterprise of the Schneider glass factory, a little known French glass maker that operated out of the town of Epinay-sur-Seine, near Paris, in a short and productive period between 1913 and the early 1930's. It is hoped that this site will improve understanding of the contribution that this firm made to the history and development of French art glass in the twentieth century.

There is something for everybody in this website; for collectors a chance to post photographs of their items to the gallery and share information in the discussion forum, for those interested in the history of art, an expanding history of the glassmaker, for antique traders and auctioneers, a reference source for this glassmaker and for the "web surfer" an opportunity to view and rate the gallery items.
